Long-Term Concept Art Program is an intensive 13-week (3-month) training program.
The AKSOA Long-Term Concept Art Program is an intensive 13-week (3-month) training program.
Master the environment concept art pipeline used in the film and game industry. This 13-week live mentorship is designed to help artists build strong design fundamentals while learning professional workflows using Photoshop and Blender. Students progress from basic principles to creating polished, portfolio-ready environment concepts through hands-on assignments and personalized feedback.
Throughout the course, you'll receive regular mentor feedback, design critiques, and personalized guidance to help identify your strengths, improve your weaknesses, and refine your artistic decision-making. As your skills develop, the complexity of each assignment increases, allowing you to steadily build confidence while adopting efficient industry-standard workflows using Photoshop and Blender.
Instead of creating random practice pieces, you'll complete three major portfolio projects, each carefully designed to strengthen a different aspect of environment concept art. Every project takes you through the complete pipeline
We believe the best way to learn concept art is by creating, not just following tutorials. That's why our 13-week program is built around three complete environment projects, with one new project introduced every month. Each project is carefully designed to teach a different art style, workflow, and set of industry skills while gradually increasing in complexity.
Every month begins with a fresh creative brief, allowing you to experience the complete concept art pipeline from research and ideation to thumbnails, 3D blockouts, painting, lighting, rendering, and final presentation. Along the way, you'll learn through live demonstrations, weekly assignments, mentor critiques, and personalized feedback, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the course.
Each new project builds upon the knowledge gained from the previous month, helping you strengthen your design fundamentals, improve your artistic decision-making, and develop efficient production workflows using Photoshop and Blender. By the end of the program, you'll have completed three unique portfolio-ready environment concepts, showcasing your versatility and growth as an environment concept artist while preparing you for opportunities in the film and game industry.

Begin your journey by mastering the fundamentals through a complete stylized environment project. You'll learn perspective, composition, shape language, color, lighting, and visual storytelling while using Photoshop and Blender to create a polished stylized scene from concept to final render. This project focuses on building confidence in design fundamentals and developing a strong artistic eye.
In the second month, you'll shift to creating a realistic environment using industry-standard workflows. Learn architecture, material rendering, photobashing, advanced lighting, atmospheric perspective, and efficient Blender blockouts. This project introduces production techniques commonly used in films and AAA games, helping you create believable, high-quality concept art.
The final month is dedicated to a cinematic keyframe environment that combines everything you've learned throughout the course. Starting from research and ideation, you'll develop thumbnails, 3D blockouts, lighting studies, paint-overs, and a final production-ready illustration. With personalized mentor feedback throughout the process, you'll finish the course with three complete portfolio projects that demonstrate your versatility, technical skills, and professional workflow for the film and game industry.
